Notes

Choosing the Right Squash: While butternut squash is a popular choice for this soup due to its sweet and nutty flavor, feel free to experiment with other varieties like acorn or kabocha. Each type of squash brings its unique taste and texture.
Roasting is Key: Roasting the squash before pureeing enhances its natural sweetness and gives the soup a deeper flavor. Don't skip this step!
Fresh Cream Matters: Opt for high-quality fresh cream. It makes a world of difference in terms of texture and richness. If you're looking for a dairy-free alternative, coconut milk is a fantastic substitute.
Seasoning: Don't be shy with your seasonings. Fresh herbs like rosemary, thyme, or sage can elevate the flavor profile of your soup. A pinch of nutmeg can also add a lovely warmth.
